Yaxel Lendeborg Expected to Play in National Championship

Michigan star Yaxel Lendeborg is cleared to play in the national championship game after his MRI came back clean following a knee and ankle injury in the Final Four.

Coach Dusty May confirmed Lendeborg will "give it a go" against UConn on Monday night. The junior forward suffered a sprained MCL and ankle injury but is determined to help the Wolverines win their first title since 1989.

Lendeborg left the Final Four semifinal with under nine minutes left but returned to play nine minutes in the second half. Michigan faces UConn at Lucas Oil Stadium on April 6.
