Valero Close to World Cup Title After Germany

Spanish mountain biker David Valero finished second in Germany's XCM World Cup race, maintaining a commanding lead in the overall classification.

The final round of the XCM (cross country marathon) World Cup will take place in Girona on September 20, where Valero will face Belgian winner Wout Alleman in what promises to be an exciting showdown. lebandit.lat

Valero currently leads the standings with a 125-point advantage and needs to finish among the top six in the final race to secure the title, even if Alleman wins. The Spanish rider's worst finish this season was 14th in Elba, Italy.
