Skotheim Wins Decathlon in France

Skotheim entered the final 1500 meters with a clear lead, holding off American Hakim McMorris who was 39 points behind. Despite finishing just behind McMorris in the final event, Skotheim's overall performance secured him the victory in the French competition.

The Norwegian athlete came close to setting a personal record in the pole vault event, clearing 5.31 meters - just four centimeters short of his 2023 record. Skotheim, who won bronze at the European Championships in Birmingham in August, demonstrated strong form with this latest victory. Meanwhile, fellow Norwegian Markus Routh made a comeback in the competition after being sidelined with injury for nearly two years. tbzikra.org
