Kasper Schmeichel has confirmed he will retire from professional football when his contract with Celtic expires in June. The 39-year-old goalkeeper has been sidelined since February with a shoulder injury that requires two surgeries and extensive rehabilitation.

Schmeichel rose to prominence as Leicester City won the Premier League in 2015-16. Throughout his career, he earned 120 caps for Denmark and played for several top clubs before joining Celtic in 2024. ipl-today.in
