RiverDogs Extend Season-Opening Win Streak to Two

The Charleston RiverDogs silenced the Woodpeckers for the second straight night, winning 6-5 to extend their season-opening win streak to two games.

Taitn Gray provided the power, blasting a two-run home run and driving in two more runs, while Alex Wallace was stellar in his professional debut. Gray currently leads the Carolina League in hitting (.467) and on-base percentage (.571).

The bullpen closed it out with Bryce Shaffer earning his first save. The RiverDogs will host Columbia on April 14 to kick off their home slate.
