Pogacar Forced to Skip European Championship

UAE team has firmly prevented Tadej Pogacar from competing in the European Championship this Sunday in Ljubljana, five weeks after breaking his clavicle and vertebra during the Vuelta a España. Team head Mauro Gianetti has issued a standing order for Pogacar to abstain from competition until 2027, despite the cyclist's desire to defend his title and the surgeon's approval.

The decision has remained unchanged despite pressure from social media and the surgeon's clearance. Pogacar, considered the best cyclist of the century and earning seven million euros annually from UAE, will respect the team's medical advice for his recovery. saltysenoritaaz.org
