Oilers Lose Hyman vs. Golden Knights, Draisaitl Eyes Return

Edmonton will be without forward Zach Hyman for Saturday’s showdown with the Vegas Golden Knights, but centre Leon Draisaitl is set to return to the ice in the coming days.

Zach Hyman, who has 31 goals and 20 assists this season, will miss the Saturday clash with the Golden Knights because of an undisclosed injury. The 33‑year‑old played 16:40 in the Oilers’ 3‑1 win over Chicago last week and is expected to rejoin the lineup if the match were a playoff game.

Star centre Leon Draisaitl, who has 35 goals and 62 assists in 65 games before his lower‑body injury, is expected to resume skating in the next few days. He won’t travel with the team for the final road trip, but his return is a positive sign as Edmonton prepares for the postseason.
