Mittal Family, Poonawala Acquire Rajasthan Royals for $1.65B

A consortium led by the Mittal family and Adar Poonawala has finalized the acquisition of the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise for approximately $1.65 billion.

Following regulatory approvals, the Mittal family will hold 75 percent of the franchise, while Poonawala secures 18 percent and Manoj Badale retains a 7 percent stake. The deal, valued at $1.65 billion, is set to close in the third quarter of 2026. xsportfeed.life
