Madrid Draws 1-1 with PSG in Champions Opener

Real Madrid opened their Champions League campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against PSG at Alfredo di Stéfano. Despite taking an early lead through Schröder, Karchaoui's equalizer in the second half denied them all three points.

Coach Pau Quesada had emphasized before the match that reaching the semifinals was this season's objective. Madrid, missing Olga Carmona to injury, struggled to maintain their dominance as PSG created several dangerous counterattacks in the closing stages. Last season, Madrid had beaten PSG away from home, making this home draw particularly disappointing. sport-tr.bet
