Kerolin failed to report for pre-season training at Manchester City before her transfer to Barcelona had been agreed, leaving the WSL champions surprised by her absence.

Barcelona announced their signing of the 26-year-old Brazil forward Kerolin on Tuesday, but it was not until Thursday evening when Manchester City first made any reference to the transfer.

The WSL champions eventually confirmed they had received a record fee for her sale more than 48 hours after Barcelona's announcement, with City reportedly taken aback by the forward's absence from training before the deal was finalized. djcc.club
