India to Host Cycling Worlds First Time

The International Cycling Union (UCI) confirmed Pune, India as the host for the 2032 road cycling World Championships, marking the first time the event will be held in the country. Two years later, in 2034, Groningen and Drenthe in the Netherlands will host both road cycling and para-cycling World Championships.

Pune previously hosted India's first international stage race in January, which attracted approximately 2.5 million spectators along the route. UCI president David Lappartient expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of hosting the World Championships in a country representing nearly one-fifth of the world's population. esporist.org
