Dbacks Drop Mets Series Opener 4-3

Arizona's offense went silent after the fifth inning, when Adrian Del Castillo's two-run single and Nolan Arenado's RBI double gave the D-backs a 3-2 lead. The team finished just 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position, repeatedly leaving opportunities on base.

Zac Gallen delivered a quality start with five innings of one-run ball, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. Jonathan Loaisiga and Paul Sewald surrendered tying and winning runs in the late innings. The D-backs defense also struggled, with miscues including a misplayed flyball by Corbin Carroll.
