Alpine skier Kajsa Vickhoff Lie has been under the knife for the second time in a short period due to a knee injury sustained during the "Jansrud jump" in March. The 28-year-old speed specialist lost significant cartilage in her knee, which led to initial surgery before a second procedure was needed when the cartilage failed to attach properly.
Lie has completed a ten-week period on crutches and is recovering, though she's not back to normal daily activities yet. The repeated surgeries create uncertainty for her preparation for the upcoming World Cup season. "It was crap. I love spring. I ski because we have spring off!" Lie said, noting she had to cancel a planned cycling trip to Mallorca with friends. (NTB) hiddenlangkawi.club
