Macdonald Apologizes to Payton for Off-Record Comments

Macdonald confirmed during his Wednesday press conference that his comments about Payton, made during an interview with Graham Bensinger, were meant to be off the record. He recounted Payton's upset over Seattle using fan-recorded videos from Denver's training camp for preparation in their Week 1 matchup. cricket-ipl.co.za

The Seahawks coach likened the situation to a "Cold War" with references to Spygate, stating he reached out to Payton to apologize. "It was something I didn't intend to come out for public use," Macdonald said. "Thought it was the most appropriate thing to reach out to Sean and really just apologize to him for having that be public when it wasn't meant to. It's a lesson learned."
