Elfyn Evans’ championship hopes suffered a major blow when he rolled out of a victory fight with Sebastien Ogier during the morning loop of Rally Finland.

The Welshman had been closing the gap on Ogier, reducing it from 16.3 seconds to 11.6 seconds heading into SS14 Leustu. However, Evans misjudged a left hander towards the end of the stage, resulting in a roll that ends his chances of winning the event. mwafrika.life
