Jansen’s Fire too strong for Miller, Stubbs

Jansen went wicketless but conceded just 16 from his 20 balls as Welsh Fire held Southern Brave to 115-8.

Miller top-scored among the South Africans with 21 off 17 balls, including two sixes, before being caught by Lockie Ferguson off Matthew Short.

Stubbs made 6 off 8 balls before he was bowled by Rachin Ravindra, as multiple Brave wickets fell for 16 runs midway through the innings.

Short, returning from injury, then guided the chase with an unbeaten 60 off 41 balls, including six fours and two sixes, sharing stands with Joe Root (17) and Tom Kohler-Cadmore (23*) as Fire reached 116-4 with five balls to spare.

The result keeps Fire in touch with Trent Rockets at the top of the table.
