تميم عبدالهادي الشهواني: «وشه» كانت على الموعد وما خيبت الظن

عبَّر تميم عبدالهادي خليل الشهواني عن بالغ سعادته بعد تحقيقه الشلفة الفضية لفئة اللقايا بكار عمانيات، مؤكداً أن هذا الإنجاز توفيق من الله ثم بفضل الدعم والرعاية الكريمة التي يحظى بها هذا المهرجان من حضرة صاحب السمو.
وقال : «الحلال تشارك لأول مرة في مهرجان سمو الأمير، وقد تكللت هذه المشاركة بهذا الفوز الذي أعتز به كثيراً. وقال «وشه» كانت على الموعد وما خيبت الظن. وأهدي هذا الإنجاز إلى جميع مشجعي الشعار وأهل قطر الكرام».

Sanya: President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani chaired the 109th Executive Board meeting in Sanya, China, on the sidelines of the 2026 Asian Beach Games.

The board discussed key agenda items, including approval of the previous meeting minutes in Kuwait and updates from organizing committees, particularly the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, which will feature 43 sports, 70 competitions, and 468 events, alongside rising ticket sales and strong public interest.

Financial and governance reports were also discussed, including first-quarter 2026 statements and audit and risk committee updates, underscoring transparency standards.

The meeting addressed future Asian Games bids, including Mongolia's proposal for the 2030 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG), and confirmed continued evaluation of hosting bids across Asia.

In this context, His Excellency affirmed the council's ongoing efforts to assess bids from countries wishing to host its events, amid growing interest in staging OCA competitions across the continent.

It also approved Johor, Malaysia, to host the 2029 Asian Beach Games and endorsed a nomination for Kairat Shamiev as Vice President for the 2029 Asian Winter Games in Almaty.

The board further confirmed that Doha will host the next General Assembly on Jan. 27, 2027, which will elect the OCA President for the 2027-2035 term, and set April 27 for signing an agreement with the Philippines for the 2028 Asian Beach Games in Cebu.

واستهل سعادته الاجتماع بكلمة ترحيبية بالسادة أعضاء المكتب التنفيذي، مثمّنًا جهودهم المتواصلة في خدمة الحركة الأولمبية الآسيوية.


واستعرض الاجتماع عددًا من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، من أبرزها اعتماد محضر الاجتماع السابق الذي عُقد في دولة الكويت، ومتابعة تقارير اللجان التنظيمية، وفي مقدمتها تقرير اللجنة المنظمة لدورة الألعاب الآسيوية (آيتشي–ناغويا 2026).
وقدّمت اللجنة المنظمة عرضًا حول مستجدات التحضيرات، مشيرةً إلى أن البرنامج الرياضي للدورة سيشمل 43 رياضة و70 مسابقة و468 فعالية إلى جانب مؤشرات إيجابية على الإقبال الجماهيري وارتفاع معدلات مبيعات التذاكر.
كما ناقش المجلس مستجدات اللجنة المالية، بما في ذلك البيانات المالية المرحلية المدققة للربع الأول من عام 2026، إلى جانب تقارير لجنة التدقيق والمخاطر، بما يعكس التزام المجلس بأعلى معايير الحوكمة والشفافية.
وتناول الاجتماع كذلك ملف دورات الألعاب الآسيوية بمراحلها المختلفة، بالإضافة إلى استعراض خطاب النوايا المقدم من اللجنة الأولمبية الوطنية في منغوليا لاستضافة دورة الألعاب الآسيوية للصالات المغلقة والفنون القتالية (AIMAG 2030). وفي هذا الإطار، أكد سعادته مواصلة المجلس جهوده في تقييم ملفات الدول الراغبة في استضافة دوراته، في ظل تزايد الاهتمام بتنظيم فعاليات المجلس على مستوى القارة.
كما سيشهد يوم 27 أبريل الجاري مراسم توقيع اتفاقية مع حكومة جمهورية الفلبين واللجنة الأولمبية الفلبينية لاستضافة دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الشاطئية السابعة 2028 في مدينة سيبو، بالإضافة إلى ذلك، اعتمد المكتب التنفيذي استثناءً خاصًا يقضي بمنح ولاية جوهور الماليزية استضافة دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الشاطئية الثامنة 2029.
وأعلن المجلس أن الدوحة ستستضيف أعمال الجمعية العمومية المقبلة للمجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي في 27 يناير 2027، والتي ستشهد انتخاب رئيس المجلس للدورة الجديدة (2027–2035).

لدورة الألعاب الآسيوية الشتوية العاشرة «ألماتي 2029»، وهو عضو اللجنة التنفيذية للجنة الأولمبية الوطنية الكازاخستانية ورئيس اتحاد التايكواندو في كازاخستان.
ويأتي انعقاد الاجتماع في إطار حرص المجلس الأولمبي الآسيوي على تعزيز مسيرة الحركة الأولمبية في القارة، ودعم التنسيق بين اللجان الأولمبية الوطنية والاتحادات الرياضية، وتعزيز التكامل بين قياداته لدفع مسيرة الرياضة الآسيوية نحو مزيد من التطور والريادة.

Hong Kong: English and Italian football giants Manchester City, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Juventus will square up for pre-season friendlies in Hong Kong in August, the clubs announced on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, currently arm-wrestling Arsenal for the Premier League title, will take on Inter Milan on Saturday, August 1, spearheaded by their Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland.

The match will kick off the "Hong Kong Football Festival" at the city's futuristic 50,000-seat Kai Tak stadium.

The gleaming arena opened a year ago, featuring a roof that can be closed and air-conditioning to combat the fierce summer heat and humidity in Hong Kong.

Chelsea will play Juventus on Wednesday August 5 to round off the mini-tournament.

Inter, under former Romanian international Cristian Chivu, are eight points clear at the top of Serie A as they look for a 21st title, second only to Juventus who have won a record 36 Italian top-flight championships.

Juventus are fourth and looking to secure a Champions League spot under Luciano Spalletti.

Chelsea beat PSG to win the Club World Cup in the United States last year but have since parted company with then manager Enzo Maresca.

Liam Rosenior took charge but is under pressure to keep his job after Chelsea lost five of their last six Premier League matches to drop to sixth, seven points adrift of the Champions League places.

It remains to be seen whether Rosenior will still be in charge when Chelsea land in Hong Kong as they were also drubbed 8-2 on aggregate by PSG in the Champions League last 16.

The action does not stop there for fans in the football-mad southern Chinese city, as Bayern Munich and Aston Villa have already announced they will play a friendly in Hong Kong on Friday, August 7.

During pre-season last year, 50,000 sell-out crowds in Hong Kong watched Liverpool play AC Milan and Tottenham face Arsenal in the first north London derby outside of the UK.

Tens of thousands also turned out to watch the teams' open training sessions.
